History
Produced by the Vignerons de Maury cooperative, founded in 1910 in the heart of the Agly Valley, this Vieille Réserve tells a story spanning more than forty years. Made from the region's iconic black schist soils, this naturally sweet wine has stood the test of time thanks to the collective expertise of nearly 200 winegrowers. The 1985 vintage, aged with patience, illustrates Maury's unique ability to offer wines with great aging potential, carrying both a viticultural and emotional memory.
Vinification
Mostly Grenache Noir, harvested at high maturity, then fortified on the grapes to preserve its natural sugars. Oxidative aging, carried out in old oak casks for several decades, has patiently developed an aromatic profile of great depth.
Tasting
Mahogany color with brick-red highlights. Refined nose intertwining walnuts, candied fruit, cocoa, roasted coffee, and noble rancio. The palate is full-bodied and harmonious, revealing flavors of fig, vanilla, and sweet spices, carried by a silky texture. The long, elegant finish makes it an ideal accompaniment to praline chocolate desserts or pan-fried foie gras.

France
