Bodega Noemia J. Alberto Malbec 2021 comes from old pre-phylloxera vines planted in 1955 in the Río Negro Valley, cultivated under certified organic agriculture (Ecocert) with biodynamic practices and no added sulfites. A blend of 95% Malbec and 5% Merlot, it is aged for 13 months in French oak barrels. This wine expresses an elegant and contemporary Patagonian vision of Malbec, in a fresh, approachable, and deeply identity-driven style. Bodega Noemia, located in the Río Negro Valley of Patagonia, was founded by Countess Noemi Marone Cinzano and winemaker Hans Vinding-Diers, with a first vintage in 2001. With the estate acquired in 2004, their methods respect nature: manual harvesting, meticulous sorting, and spontaneous fermentation. Organic certification by Ecocert, biodynamic practices.
On the nose, notes of plums accompanied by herbal notes and mineral touches of graphite. On the palate, crunchy and fresh, with silky and well-integrated tannins conferring an elegant texture. It pairs well with a mushroom and truffle tart or a duck breast with red berry sauce. Serve between 14 and 16°C. Aging potential of 15 to 20 years.
Argentine
Patricio - Local Nose
This great Patagonian Malbec is precise and elegant, an absolute benchmark for the region.
