Bouchon Family Wines Granito Semillon 2020 comes from old vines on granitic soils in Maule, aged for 12 months, with 70% in foudres and 30% in French oak barrels. Carefully crafted on granitic soils, this Sémillon ensures a delicate complexity and a refined structure, perfect for pairing with seafood dishes. The Bouchon saga began in 1887 with the arrival of Émile Bouchon in Chile. The family, established in the Colchagua region and later in the Maule region in 1977, perpetuates this history by breathing new life into old Maule grape varieties, such as País, rehabilitating centuries-old winemaking techniques, and paying close attention to the terroir. With three vineyards in Maule, the Bouchons adopt an organic approach, creating singular wines from vines grown without irrigation on ancient granitic soils.
On the nose, ripe lemon and pear, enriched by a distinctive mineral character. On the palate, a fresh and delicate texture, finishing with a saline note that delights the taste buds. It pairs well with a seafood paella or steamed crab. Serve between 12 and 14°C. Aging potential of 5 years and more.
