Vasse Felix Tom Cullity 2021 is sourced from the original vines planted in 1967 in Margaret River, blending 81% Cabernet Sauvignon and 19% Malbec. Following a manual harvest, the grapes undergo whole-cluster fermentation with wild yeasts, followed by 16 months of aging in French oak barrels (including 68% new wood) to develop richness and complexity. It features 14% alcohol and 0.41 g/L of residual sugar.
On the nose, aromas of blueberry, plum, and orange zest, complemented by floral notes. On the palate, a velvety and elegant texture with fine tannins and a sustained freshness, concluding with a long, peppery finish. Pairs beautifully with roasted lamb or slow-cooked stews. Aging potential of 20 years and more.
