Viu Manent Single Vineyard Loma Blanca Carmenère 2022 comes from the prestigious El Olivar vineyard in the Colchagua Valley, on perfectly drained granitic soils. Aged for 14 months in French oak barrels and concrete eggs. A perfect balance of freshness, structure, and fineness. Viu Manent is a family-owned house founded in 1935, renowned for its wines from the Colchagua Valley. The acquisition of its three vineyards in Colchagua in 1960, including San Carlos de Cunaco, the cradle of centenarian Malbec vines, forged the estate's identity. Today managed by the third generation and certified vegan, Viu Manent has been ranked among the World's Best Vineyards for seven consecutive years.
On the nose, aromas of blackberry and wild berries, subtly blended with notes of damp earth and white pepper. On the palate, fresh and refined, seductive in its harmonious structure, driven by silky and well-defined tannins. It pairs well with a duck breast with red fruits or a pork tenderloin in an herb crust. Serve between 16 and 18°C. Aging potential of 10 years.
Chili
The Central Valley of Chile is the wine region in South America with the largest volume of wine production. A wide variety of wine styles and qualities can be found in this vast region, from many different terroirs. These range from the fashionable Bordeaux-style wines produced in the northern Maipo, to the older and more established vineyards of Maule; from the coastal plains of western Colchagua to the Andean foothills of Puente Alto.
