DESCRIPTION
The Pommard ‘Vieilles Vignes’ is a testament to the confidence a winemaker has in his or her product. This wine is aged for 15 months and a month before it is bottled, its different barrels are blended and then stored. This red wine is particular, in that it is not fined, which means it was not clarified in order to let the wine express itself more naturally. It is also only slightly filtered, so as to preserve its enriching elements. The bouquet is a quaint stroll through the woods, with notes of black fruit, spices, smoke and wood. On the palate, the tannins are powerfully present. The Vieilles Vignes is structured and aromatic and the perfect partner for lamb, beef bourguignon, or pungent cheeses like munster, livarot, or a smelly camembert.

Its semi-continental climate, marked by contrasting seasons, and its mineral-rich clay-limestone soils provide an exceptional terroir for its two king grape varieties: Pinot Noir for reds, and Chardonnay for whites. Alongside them, more discreet varieties such as Gamay and Aligoté complete the vineyard's diversity.
The vineyard stretches from the Chablisien in the north, known for its taut, mineral whites, to the Mâconnais in the south, offering accessible, gourmet cuvées. In between, the Côte de Nuits is the realm of great reds, while the Côte de Beaune excels in both reds and whites. The Côtes Chalonnaises complete the picture with wines offering excellent value for money.
