DESCRIPTION
Beaumont New Baby 2022 is a white blend from old vines planted between 1974 and 1988, combining Chenin Blanc (60%), Sauvignon Blanc (25%), and Colombard (15%) on the shale soils of Bot River. Aged for 12 months in 400L French oak barrels (30% new), it has 13% alcohol and 2.6 g/L of residual sugar.
On the nose, aromas of pear, peach, and citrus are accompanied by elegant floral touches and a light mineral note. On the palate, a beautiful freshness is sustained by a silky texture and a perfectly balanced richness. It pairs beautifully with pan-seared scallops in lemon butter or a white truffle risotto.
