DESCRIPTION
Bouchon Family Wines Salvaje País 2022 is a 100% País red wine, sourced from the wild vines of Mingre, which rise majestically up to 5 meters in height. Cultivated without irrigation on ancient granitic soil, these vines give birth to a wine of exceptional authenticity. Vinified without additives and fermented with native yeasts, then aged in concrete tanks, it captures the essence of its terroir. The Bouchon saga began in 1887 with the arrival of Émile Bouchon in Chile. The family, established in the Colchagua region and later in the Maule region in 1977, perpetuates this history by breathing new life into old Maule grape varieties, such as País, rehabilitating centuries-old winemaking techniques, and paying close attention to the terroir. With three vineyards in Maule, the Bouchons adopt an organic approach, creating singular wines from vines grown without irrigation on ancient granitic soils.
On the nose, cherry and wild strawberry, with a subtle floral touch. On the palate, fresh, well-balanced, with a long, rustic, and authentic finish. It pairs well with beef skewers or BBQ chicken. Serve between 14 and 15°C. Aging potential of 5 years.
