DESCRIPTION
Casarena Naoki's Vineyard Malbec 2020 in Magnum (1.5L) comes from the Agrelo vineyard, worked with great single-vineyard precision. The 2020 vintage was marked by spring frosts leading to a 20 to 30% drop in yield, followed by a hot and dry summer that concentrated the harvest into the month of March. Each parcel is vinified separately, then aged in French oak barrels for 12 months with malolactic fermentation taking place in the barrel. Casarena thus preserves the balance between fruit, freshness, and complexity.
The nose reveals a marked mineral profile, accompanied by notes of plum, fresh red fruits, and fine spices. The palate is fresh, balanced, and structured, with supple tannins and a long, persistent finish. The Magnum format ensures optimal aging over time. Aging potential of 10 years and more.
