Colmant Cap Classique Brut Reserve is a non-vintage cuvée from the Franschhoek appellation, blending 52% Pinot Noir and 48% Chardonnay on clay-limestone, sandy-loam, and shale soils. Crafted using the traditional Champagne method by Paul Gerber, it is aged for 30 months in the bottle. It features 12% alcohol, a dosage of 5.8 g/L, and residual sugar of 6.4 g/L.
On the nose, a subtle harmony between notes of fresh lemon and golden brioche, complemented by nuances of ripe stone fruits. The palate entry is fresh and lively, elegantly balanced. Its refined structure leads to a long, smooth, and harmonious finish. Ideal as an aperitif, or paired with oysters and shellfish.
South Africa
Located on the southern coast of the Western Cape, Walker Bay is one of South Africa’s coolest and most renowned wine regions. Bathed in sea air and sheltered by surrounding mountains, it enjoys a temperate climate ideal for producing wines of great finesse.
Walker Bay is a paradise for delicate grape varieties: Pinot Noir and Chardonnay find their balance in the hills of Hemel-en-Aarde (Valley, Ridge, Upper), while Bot River stands out for its saline, vibrant Chenin Blancs. Between brilliant light, varied soils, and a temperate climate, this region produces wines that are elegant, pure, and intensely expressive.
