El Esteco Old Vine 1946 Malbec 2022 comes from vines planted on pergola systems in 1946 in Cafayate, on alluvial soils at an altitude of 1,800 meters in the Andes. These vines, over 75 years old, provide great concentration and remarkable aromatic complexity. Aging takes place in concrete eggs, preserving the purity of the fruit and the natural tension of the wine. The El Esteco estate, founded in 1892, is one of the pioneers of the Calchaquí Valleys region.
The color displays beautiful violet highlights. On the nose, aromas of raspberry, cherry, ripe plums, and a subtle herbal touch. The attack is frank and lively, the texture silky with harmoniously integrated tannins. Magnificent with grilled beef with herbs or pasta with a spicy tomato sauce. Aging potential of 5 to 8 years.
