Francis Ford Coppola Diamond Collection Zinfandel 2022 is sourced from a meticulous selection of fruit from various clones, soil types, and cultivation methods, bringing exceptional complexity and depth. Aged for 3 months in used French oak barrels, pH 3.74, total acidity 5.8 g/L. Founded by the legendary filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola, the estate was born out of his love for wine and family memories. In 1974, Coppola acquired a historic property in Rutherford, Napa Valley, using the profits from The Godfather. In 2006, he opened a second winery in Geyserville, in the Sonoma region. With iconic ranges like the Diamond Collection, Coppola combines tradition, quality, and accessibility, embodying the elegance of Californian wine.
On the nose, cherry and strawberry, enhanced by nuances of mocha and a touch of tobacco. On the palate, a velvety and rich texture, sublimated by a long and spicy finish. It pairs perfectly with grilled pork chops or a mushroom pizza. Serve between 16 and 18°C. Cellaring potential of 5 to 8 years.
