DESCRIPTION
Luca Wines Beso de Dante 2020 is a blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 45% Malbec, and 5% Cabernet Franc, sourced from terroirs in the Uco Valley, Mendoza, at an altitude of 1,000 meters. It is aged for 18 months in French oak barrels, of which 35% is new. Conceived as a tribute to Dante Alighieri, this wine offers a precise and contemporary Argentine interpretation of the Cabernet-Malbec duo, featuring single-vineyard vinification followed by extended aging. Laura Catena, founder of Luca in 1998, collaborates with Luis Reginato to produce unique wines.
The nose reveals a clean expression of ripe black fruits, supported by fresh herbal and smoky nuances. The palate is precise and balanced, the tannins are fine, and the finish is long and structured. It ideally accompanies braised pork cheek in red wine or a grilled rib of beef. Aging potential of 10 years and more.
