DESCRIPTION
Savage Red 2023 is a classic Syrah sourced from selected parcels on the Langverwagt farm, benefiting from decomposed granite soils. Aged for 13 months in old barrels and then 10 months in large oak foudres, it offers a style that is simultaneously powerful, refined, and built for aging. The complex nose opens with aromas of plum, lavender, violet, and white pepper. The palate proves taut and concentrated with fine tannins, leading to a long, elegant finish that is ideal with an osso buco or a prime rib of beef.
