Stark-Condé The Field Blend 2023 is a white blend from the Jonkershoek Valley (Stellenbosch), composed of 42% Roussanne, 30% Chenin Blanc, 20% Verdelho, and 8% Viognier. Aged for 8 months in French oak barrels and stainless steel tanks, it features 12.5% alcohol and 2.7 g/L of residual sugar. The estate cultivates its vineyards at high altitudes of up to 600m amidst rich biodiversity, using organic and artisanal practices.
On the nose, notes of peach, honeysuckle, and lemon zest intertwine with delicate hints of almond and ginger. On the palate, a slightly creamy and generous texture is met with vibrant freshness, leading to an elegant and lingering finish. Ideal with a shrimp and mango salad or lemon chicken.
