DESCRIPTION
Vasse Felix Filius Chardonnay 2024 is a contemporary Chardonnay from Margaret River, sourced from multiple parcels and clones selected for their natural finesse. Early harvested and fermented exclusively with wild yeasts, primarily in French oak barrels (with a small proportion in large foudres), it was then aged for 7.5 months with controlled battonage. It features 12.5% alcohol and 0.76 g/L of residual sugar.
On the nose, an expressive and elegant bouquet blending white flowers, nectarine, candied lemon, fresh citrus, jasmine, and a subtle minerality. On the palate, fresh and vibrant, driven by a well-integrated natural acidity and a saline backbone. Fine and chalky texture with a beautiful length. Pairs perfectly with grilled salmon or vegetable gratins.
