DESCRIPTION
At Lauduc, in Tresses, on the outskirts of Bordeaux, three generations work the vines: a grandfather, two sons, and four grandchildren. It is from this family history, built on transmission and shared passion, that the Papa & Tonton range was born. These are ephemeral cuvées that reinvent themselves every year to tell the story of their vintage and capture the unique essence of the terroir. As an independent winegrower, the estate cultivates its vines with care, respecting the environment, as evidenced by its Haute Valeur Environnementale and Terra Vitis certifications.
This 2025 Claret, 100% Merlot, is vinified with gentleness: the grapes are destemmed and then lightly crushed, fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature, and the extractions remain delicate, drawing the best from the fruit without ever hardening the wine.
The result is a light red, with a supple texture and almost nonexistent tannins. It highlights a pure expression of crunchy red fruits, carried by a lovely acidity that gives it all its freshness. Easy to drink and designed to be enjoyed chilled, it sits midway between a clairet and a red. It is a modern "Claret," a nod to the historic wines of Bordeaux, embodying the revival of this style.
