DESCRIPTION
In 2005, Catalina Sounds launched with one goal in mind: to produce the best wines in Marlborough. It is in the Waihopai Valley, at the top of the South Island of New Zealand that this magic happens. Why Catalina? The vineyard was named after the magnificent flying boats, which played a role in the South Pacific during and after World War II. This Pinot Noir is a romantic, brooding poem of baking spices, blueberry, cassis, red fruit and cinnamon, signed off by a toasty oak signature. The palate is filled with juicy red cherries, and entices with its soft acidic line and fine, chalky tannins. Enjoy this one with grilled meats, vegetables or anything with mushrooms!

Marlborough
New Zealand
Marlborough is New Zealand's most important wine region by far. Situated at the northeastern tip of the South Island, this dry, sunny region is home to over 500 growers and produces around three-quarters of all New Zealand wine.
