Bas-Armagnac Baron G.Legrand 1985

Bas-Armagnac Baron G.Legrand 1985

🇫🇷 AOC Bas-Armagnac | Gascogne | France
Maison Baron Gaston Legrand was bought by Cognac Lhéraud in 1998 and is considered to be one of the best armagnac producers in the south-west of France. Here, everything comes down to the knowledge and respect of the Ténarèze terroir, close to the Pyrenees mountains. The 2000 Bas-Armagnac is aged in oak casks and is a blend of Ugni blanc and Baco grapes. You may have never heard of them (and that' s OK), but they create a sweet and flavourful brandy. This armagnac is airy, complex and delicate, with its aromas of white fig confit, fresh almond and its notes of incense. The perfect match for foie gras, goat cheese and honey tapas, roquefort cheese and cannelés, a small French pastry filled with rum and vanilla custard.
