History
Founded in 1923 in Baixas, the Dom Brial winery carries on the art of Naturally Sweet Wines through a collection of rare vintages. The 1983 Rivesaltes Ambré illustrates this heritage, the fruit of decades of patience and intergenerational expertise. This wine was honored with the Grand Prix d’Excellence at the 2017 Vinalies Nationales.
Vinification
Crafted from traditional Roussillon grape varieties, this wine was fortified (mutage) during fermentation to preserve the natural richness of the sugars. It then underwent long oxidative aging in oak vats (foudres), which gave it depth and complexity. Racked after several decades, it is offered in limited quantities.
Tasting
The amber color with mahogany highlights signals a wine of great maturity. The nose opens with aromas of sweet caramel, coffee, and vanilla. The palate, fresh and complex, unfolds flavors of crystallized orange, fig, and delicate spices.

France
Bruno Cazes - Local Nose
A cuvée that marries freshness and complexity, driven by notes of coffee, vanilla, and crystallized orange.
