History
Founded in 1923 in Baixas, the Dom Brial winery has established itself as a benchmark in Roussillon thanks to its age-worthy naturally sweet wines. The 1986 "Grande Réserve" cuvée is the result of rigorous selection, followed by several decades of aging in the estate's old oak vats (foudres). It embodies the art of oxidative aging, the true signature of great Amber Rivesaltes.
Vinification
Crafted from traditional Roussillon grape varieties (Grenache, Macabeu, and Grenache Gris), this wine was produced through direct pressing and fortification (mutage) with neutral spirit. It was aged for over twenty years in old oak vats within the historic cellars before being bottled in 2009, revealing a rare aromatic profile.
Tasting
The mahogany color with old-gold highlights signals great maturity. The nose reveals notes of nuts and toffee. The palate, smooth and delicate, blossoms with flavors of gingerbread, orange zest, and caramel, supported by a persistent and refined finish.

France
Bruno Cazes - Local Nose
A monument of smoothness: notes of nuts, caramel, and gingerbread combine for a pleasure that is both nostalgic and refined.
