A blend of the legendary Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon, this 2019 vintage from Rockford continues the tradition of great Australian red wines from the 1950s and '60s. Carefully crafted from old vines in the Barossa Valley, it undergoes artisanal winemaking: destemming on an old 1880 machine, open-top fermentation, basket pressing, and 24 months of aging in seasoned oak barrels.
On the palate, it’s a generous, full-bodied wine with a complex bouquet of blackberry, blackcurrant, black cherry, mocha, eucalyptus, and black pepper. The mouthfeel is dense and fleshy, built on supple tannins and vibrant freshness, with a long, harmonious finish.
