DESCRIPTION
A wet spring and subsequently dry summer makes this Chardonnay a wine with great fruit density and a cleansing acidic streak. The bouquet seduces from the get-go, with delicious aromas of roasted almonds, smoky flint and lemon and lime meringue. On the palate, white peach notes dance with hints of ginger. A pleasingly dry finish to go with seafood, fish, salad or goat cheese.
REGION
Yarra Valley
Australia
The Yarra Valley is a well-respected Australian wine region that occupies the eastern half of the Port Phillip viticultural zone, in the diminutive state of Victoria. At complete odds with the usual, hot and dry Shiraz-growing image of Australia, Yarra Valley is best known for its bright, complex wines made from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
