Salta
Argentina
Salta is a high-altitude wine-growing region in northwest Argentina, at the foot of the Andes. Its vineyards, among the highest in the world, benefit from a desert climate conducive to the production of highly concentrated wines. Salta's emblematic grape variety is Torrontés, which produces aromatic whites with a unique profile. But excellent Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon and Tannat are also produced, expressing with finesse the power and freshness of this exceptional terroir. Cafayate, located in the valley of the same name, is considered the wine heart of the Salta region. Its internationally acclaimed wines are distinguished by their mineral character and fine balance between roundness and liveliness.
