DESCRIPTION

This wine is a collaboration between Viñas en Flor and Patricio Dupont to highlight the fruity character achieved by the Torrontés and Malbec varietals in the Cafayate Valley. On tasting, this Malbec has a ruby colour with red highlights. It is an elegant wine, with a spicy, liquorice nose and notes of red and black fruit. It is generous and well-structured on the palate, with very present fruit aromas and fine tannins that give it elegant length.

Cafayate is a wine region in northwestern Argentina, located in the Calchaqui Valley - one of the highest places in the world suitable for viticulture. The Calchaqui Valley surrounds Cafayate and has some of the most spectacular scenery in Argentina, changing quickly and dramatically from desert to mountains and subtropical climate. The terroir is particularly suited to the Torrontes Riojana grape, but wines made from Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon are also produced here.

Fruité et convivial

Le Malbec "The Llama" 2023, c’est le plaisir pur : fruits rouges et noirs bien mûrs, bouche souple, finale légèrement épicée. Un rouge généreux et facile à boire, parfait pour les grandes tablées. Très bon rapport qualité-prix !

Vibrant blackberry and red plum meet a touch of pepper and cocoa. It’s medium-bodied, with smooth tannins and a lively finish. A super versatile bottle—great with grilled meats or veggie tacos.

Smooth and Fruity Malbec

Lovely bottle. The first thing I noticed was how smooth it felt—no harsh tannins, just soft berry notes. Lots of ripe plum and cherry, a little bit of spice toward the end. Had it with grilled sausages and sweet potato wedges. Great value for money.
