DESCRIPTION
The Torbreck vineyard specialises in working with the classic Barossa varietals of Grenache, Mataro and Shiraz, infused with a passion for the wines of France's Rhône Valley. Their 2019 Old Vines is lifted and aromatic, with typical Grenache red fruit notes combining with Mourvèdre savouriness. Unusual aromas of cherry, wet earth and pomegranate are evident on the nose, with a textured palate of soft tannins. Powerful, complex and balanced, this is a true expression of Torbreck winemaking. Pasta dishes, vegetables and roasts fit beautifully with this wine.
