Viu Manent El Incidente Carmenère 2018 is a premium blended wine from the La Capilla and San Carlos vineyards. The 2018 vintage, cooler than normal, favoured slow ripening, fine sugar-acidity balance and elegant terroir expression. Blending 85% Carmenère and 15% Malbec, the grapes are hand-harvested, carefully sorted, then vinified in small stainless steel tanks after a 5-day cold pre-fermentation maceration. Aged in French oak and concrete eggs. Viu Manent is a family winery founded in 1935, recognised for its wines from the Colchagua Valley. The acquisition of its three Colchagua vineyards in 1960, including San Carlos de Cunaco, home to century-old Malbec vines, forged the estate's identity. Today led by the third generation, vegan-certified, Viu Manent has been ranked among the World's Best Vineyards for seven consecutive years.
On the nose, pure and captivating, with aromas of exotic spices, green tea, violet, red and black fruits, with fine herbaceous notes. On the palate, balanced with velvety tannins, a deep texture and an elegant, vibrant and persistent finish. It pairs with pan-fried beef fillet with mushrooms and pepper reduction or herb-roasted saddle of lamb. Ageing potential of 10 years and more.

Nichée entre la cordillère des Andes et l’océan Pacifique, la vallée de Colchagua est l’un des terroirs les plus dynamiques du Chili. Ce climat chaud mais tempéré par les brises marines favorise la maturation lente et complète des raisins, donnant des vins riches, élégants et structurés.
La vallée s’est taillé une solide réputation internationale grâce à des cuvées emblématiques comme Clos Apalta (Casa Lapostolle), Folly (Montes) ou encore Altura (Viña Casa Silva). Ces grandes signatures ont mis en lumière le potentiel exceptionnel de la région, notamment pour les cépages rouges comme le Malbec, le Cabernet Sauvignon, la Syrah ou le Carménère.
