DESCRIPTION
Domaine Nico is the first winery to showcase the potential of high-altitude Pinot Noir from Argentina’ peaks. Thigh-altitude provides the wine with tension and grace. This is a delicate Pinot, with a fine texture, juicy tannins, flavors of ripe red fruits that, perhaps, are the result of the intense sun that falls on the vineyard. A generous wine, but still refreshing and incisive in texture.
REGION
Mendoza
Argentina
Mendoza is the largest wine-producing region in Argentina. Located on a high plateau on the edge of the Andes, the province is responsible for approximately 70% of the country's annual wine production. The French grape variety Malbec has its New World home in the vineyards of Mendoza, producing red wines of great concentration and intensity. While Malbec is undoubtedly the star of the region, there are also numerous plantings of Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Syrah, Torrontes and Sauvignon Blanc.
