Chili
The Central Valley of Chile is the wine region in South America with the largest volume of wine production. A wide variety of wine styles and qualities can be found in this vast region, from many different terroirs. These range from the fashionable Bordeaux-style wines produced in the northern Maipo, to the older and more established vineyards of Maule; from the coastal plains of western Colchagua to the Andean foothills of Puente Alto.
Ce vin met en avant le potentiel du Carignan, un cépage qui, bien que parfois sous-estimé, peut produire des vins riches et intenses lorsqu'il est cultivé dans le bon terroir, comme celui du Maule Valley.
The 2018 vintage delivers beautiful balance: rustic and wild at first sip, then precise and polished as it opens. Expect flavors of sour cherry, iron, rose petal, and forest floor. A wine that rewards patience and air.
Sourced from dry-farmed bush vines planted in the 1940s, this Vigno is rich with character. Intense red fruit—cranberry, raspberry, wild cherry—melds with savory notes of dried herbs, leather, and crushed granite. Elegant tannins and vibrant acidity keep it fresh and age-worthy.
Deeply impressed by the intensity of this Syrah. You get dark berries and black pepper right from the start, followed by subtle floral notes and a long, elegant finish. I paired it with beef short ribs and it was a stunning match. Excellent structure.
