R de Romaneira embodies the revival of the historic Quinta da Romaneira estate, located in the heart of the Douro (DOC), under the direction of Christian Seely and Antonio Agrellos. This cuvée reflects the elegance and richness of a UNESCO World Heritage terroir, where schist terraces shape wines of unique character.
This Portuguese red wine is made from a blend dominated by Tinta Roriz (50%) and Touriga Franca (25%), complemented by Touriga Nacional, Syrah, and Tinto Cão. Winemaking focuses on freshness and fruit purity, with only 10% aged in French oak barrels to preserve aromatic expression.
On the nose, it charms with ripe red fruit aromas lifted by floral notes and a subtle hint of vanilla. The palate is balanced and fresh, offering a silky structure and fine tannins, leading to a long, flavorful finish.
