DESCRIPTION
This Grenache Noir comes from old bush vines, organically farmed in the Swartland, on the granite soils of the Paardeberg, the schist of the Kasteelberg, and the clay near Malmesbury. The winemaking combines a significant proportion of whole clusters, a four-week maceration, and very gentle extraction, followed by about a year of aging in old 500-liter barrels and concrete vats.
The color is pale and luminous. The elegant nose offers aromas of cherry, cranberry, and dried herbs, with a subtle touch of tar and pebbles. The palate, light and delicious, reveals beautiful tension and fine tannins. Serve at around 14-15°C with roasted poultry or a charcuterie board.
