Newly promoted to Premier Cru status, this Pouilly-Fuissé Le Clos Reyssier by Georges Duboeuf embodies the elegance and precision of the great Chardonnays from southern Burgundy.
From a high-altitude terroir with limestone soils, this wine reveals a pale gold color with green reflections, brilliant and delicate. The nose is expressive and refined, marked by beautiful chalky minerality, notes of brioche, biscuit, and fresh almond. The attack on the palate is lively and invigorating, followed by a silky, sapid, and saline body, revealing all the finesse of the terroir.
A wine that is simultaneously refined, long, and complex, which will gain even more depth with time. It pairs wonderfully with seafood risotto, oysters, pike quenelles, or aged Comté cheese.
A promising Pouilly-Fuissé 1er Cru, designed for gastronomy, and to be discovered without delay by lovers of great white Burgundy wines.
France
Burgundy, located in eastern France, is one of the world's most emblematic wine-growing regions, renowned for its elegant, fine and complex wines. Its semi-continental climate, marked by contrasting seasons, and its mineral-rich clay-limestone soils provide an exceptional terroir for its two king grape varieties: Pinot Noir for reds, and Chardonnay for whites. Alongside them, more discreet varieties such as Gamay and Aligoté complete the vineyard's diversity.
The vineyard stretches from the Chablisien in the north, known for its taut, mineral whites, to the Mâconnais in the south, offering accessible, gourmet cuvées. In between, the Côte de Nuits is the realm of great reds, while the Côte de Beaune excels in both reds and whites. The Côtes Chalonnaises complete the picture with wines offering excellent value for money.
Classic Pouilly-Fuissé energy with a modern polish. Green apple, lemon zest, and a whisper of oak unfold with tension and length. Brilliant with shellfish or soft cheeses.
Lively citrus, white peach, and crushed stone aromas lead into a precise and focused palate. The 2023 vintage delivers freshness, finesse, and a beautifully clean finish.
Jerome - Local Nose
A young wine but promising. Already nice tension and ripe fruit.
