In the heart of the Entre-Deux-Mers, between the Garonne and Dordogne rivers, Château Tour de Mirambeau extends across Naujan-et-Postiac. It belongs to the Despagne family, who have been winemakers on these lands for over two centuries. Remaining true to this heritage, Thibault, Gabriel, and Basaline Despagne craft precise, sincere wines that are faithful to their terroir, where freshness and fruit purity are paramount.
This 2024 Entre-Deux-Mers white is a fine illustration. Its color is pale yellow, bright and crystalline. The nose is very intense, opening with passion fruit, mango, and grapefruit, highlighted by a floral touch. The palate is precise and pure: the rounded elegance of Sémillon combines with a lively, zesty freshness, and the whole maintains a beautiful balance through to a long and tonic finish.
It is a luminous and thirst-quenching white wine, perfect as an aperitif, which also pairs well with shellfish, grilled fish or fish in light sauces, and cold appetizers. Serve it well chilled to reveal all its vibrancy.
France
The Bordeaux region is hardly a secret, as it is one of the great wine regions of France. Bordeaux has a temperate maritime climate that yields fabulous, high quality red wines. The main red grapes of the region are Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. Although 90% of its production is red, the region rounds out its range with white wines blended from Sémillon and Sauvignon Blanc.
Jana - Local Nose
A small Bordeaux white that smells of exotic fruits, mango, passion fruit, and grapefruit, with just the right amount of roundness and a lovely freshness that makes you want another sip.
