Tuscany is Italy's third most vine-planted region (behind Sicily and Apulia) but it is eighth in terms of output, reflecting both its poor soil and deliberate efforts to limit yields but increase the quality of the wine. After Piedmont and Veneto, Tuscany produces the third-highest volume of DOC/DOCG wines. More than 80% of the regions' production is in red wine, with the Sangiovese grape being Tuscany's' most prominent grape. Chianti, Chianti Classico, Brunello di Montalcino, Vino Nobile di Montepulciano and Super Tuscan are Tuscany’s best known wines, while Trebbiano is the leading white variety of the region.
Un classique toscan, avec sa fraîcheur caractéristique et sa profondeur aromatique. La finale est longue, légèrement épicée. Un vin à garder quelques années en cave ou à déguster dès maintenant avec des plats robustes.
This wine offers a harmonious bouquet of red fruits, spice, and earthiness, framed by well-integrated oak. It’s elegant and approachable, with a finish that lingers gracefully.
The 2021 '1787' Vino Nobile di Montepulciano is a beautifully structured Sangiovese-based wine showing ripe cherry, plum, and dried herbs with hints of leather and tobacco. Smooth tannins and balanced acidity provide length and finesse.
Absolutely loved this. Velvety mouthfeel with ripe cherry, plum, and a touch of spice. Had it with mushroom risotto and the pairing was sublime. For the price, this is great value for money—tastes more expensive than it is.

More accessible than the 2020, with that fruity side that makes it very pleasant.
