Torbreck The Factor 2021 comes from pre-phylloxera vineyards planted in the 19th century and protected by an exemplary quarantine policy, true time capsules. 100% Shiraz from diverse Barossa soils. Aged for 24 months in French oak barrels (40% new). It features 15.5% alcohol, pH 3.59, and 6.14 g/L total acidity. Cellaring potential of 20+ years.
On the nose, it reveals intense dark fruits, dark cocoa, vanilla, and maraschino liqueur. On the palate, it is soft, velvety, and sumptuous, with subtle yet concentrated tannins, accompanied by a refined acidity that lingers on the finish. An ideal pairing with a beef Wellington with porcini mushrooms or a black truffle risotto.
