Domaine Pietra Pura

Pietra Pura

In the heart of Italy, in the splendid Puglia region, Domaine Pietra Pura embodies the art of producing authentic wines while showcasing a rich and fascinating terroir. This estate, which is one of the great names in Italian viticulture, stands out for its ability to combine tradition and innovation, offering vintages of exceptional quality.

A story rooted in tradition

Domaine Pietra Pura is the result of a collaboration between two emblematic figures of Italian wine: the Tommasi family, recognized for their expertise in the production of wines of character, and the Rocca delle Macìe house. This alliance has made it possible to create an estate that reflects the very essence of Puglia viticulture, while adopting a contemporary approach.

Located on land bathed in the Mediterranean sun, the estate benefits from ideal conditions for growing vines. The soils, rich in limestone and clay, give the wines remarkable minerality and structure. The hot and dry climate is tempered by sea breezes, allowing optimal ripening of the grapes.

Emblematic grape varieties

Domaine Pietra Pura highlights the indigenous grape varieties of Puglia, notably Primitivo and Negroamaro, which are the jewels of the region. These varieties, cultivated for centuries, produce powerful and generous red wines, renowned for their intense aromas of red and black fruits, their spicy notes and their silky texture.

The Primitivo, in particular, is the signature of the estate. With its notes of sun-ripened cherries, chocolate and vanilla, it offers a rich and balanced taste experience. Negroamaro, on the other hand, brings unique depth and complexity, with nuances of plum, licorice and black pepper.

The estate also cultivates international grape varieties such as Chardonnay, which expresses itself here with great freshness and aromas of citrus fruits and white flowers, while retaining a minerality typical of the terroir.

Wines that tell a story

The Pietra Pura vintages are an invitation to discover Puglia through authentic flavors and consistent quality. Among the most popular labels is Primitivo di Manduria, a rich and opulent red wine, perfect to accompany meat dishes in sauce or mature cheeses.

The estate also offers white and rosé wines, ideal for summer meals. Chardonnay, for example, pairs wonderfully with seafood and light dishes, while rosé, fresh and fruity, is a modern and refined expression of the region.
