DESCRIPTION
AHere is an Australian wine with a French twist! A blend of three flagship varieties from the south-eastern part of France : Mataro, Carignan and Cinsault. The peppery notes of the Mataro fit perfectly with the rosy, floral flavours of the Carignan and the sweet, cherry fruitiness of the Cinsault. Its bouquet of cloves, cinnamon, cherries and roses is both wild and feminine. The palate offers an attractive contrast between the dark spices and the fresh, fruity acidity. Rustic and bright, this is the perfect wine for tapas or a charcuterie and cheese board.

Shiraz leads the region's list of award-winning wines, making McLaren Vale a favorite location to grow this grape. Cabernet Sauvignon is another prominent grape variety, along with Grenache and Mourvedre which, together with Shiraz, make up some of the most acclaimed GSM blends here. Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc dominate McLaren Vale's white grape varieties, with a plethora of other regional and international specialties such as Merlot, Zinfandel, Tempranillo, Sangiovese and Viognier also making their mark.
