DESCRIPTION
The Story
Since 1810, Maison Lhéraud has crafted vintage cognacs of rare finesse, faithful to the Charentais tradition. Established in Angeac, in the heart of the Fins Bois, it perpetuates ancestral expertise passed down from generation to generation. This 1972 vintage, sourced from the Fins Bois cru, testifies to a masterful balance between aromatic richness and elegance, the fruit of half a century of patience and mastery.
The Vinification
Distilled in 1972, this Fins Bois Cognac has aged naturally in Limousin oak barrels, with no additives or reduction. The Fins Bois terroir, combining clay-limestone soils and an oceanic climate, confers remarkable roundness and depth on the eau-de-vie (spirit). The prolonged micro-oxygenation from the wood has enriched its texture and developed delicate aromas of chocolate, candied fruits, and sweet spices.
The Tasting
On the nose, this vintage reveals a harmonious bouquet of candied fruits, chocolate, and spicy notes. On the palate, the texture is soft and velvety, with a long and elegant finish punctuated by floral and herbaceous touches. The Lhéraud Fins Bois Cognac 1972 embodies the perfect balance between aromatic complexity and terroir finesse.
REGION
Nouvelle Aquitaine
France
