Glenelly Lady May 2018 is the flagship wine of the Glenelly estate, blending 90% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Cabernet Franc, and 4% Petit Verdot from the varied soils of Simonsberg. Fermented and aged on the lees in French oak barrels for 24 months, it features 14.5% alcohol and 2.1 g/L of residual sugar.
On the nose, seductive aromas of cassis and blackberries, enhanced by floral and spicy nuances. On the palate, an underlying fruit intensity accompanied by dense tannins well-suited for aging, and a long, tightly knit finish. Pairs beautifully with a beef filet mignon Rossini or grilled lamb chops with herbs.
