DESCRIPTION

This classic Southern Rhone blend bursts with aromas of blackberry and fiery cherry over notes of fragrant violets and chai spices. The inclusion of small percentages of whole clusters in the ferment provided additional perfume and floral effect. The palate is initially juicy and sweet, combining crisp red plums and red licorice from the Grenache, with Syrah and Mataro adding structure, spice and flavor. The finish is persistent with layers of cocoa, cherry liqueur and a framework of firm, gravelly tannins.

Très beau vin, costaud niveau alcool, mais super bien intégré ! Des notes de confiture de fraise, de prune, de poivre, et de café. Une proposition solide pour découvrir les rouges australiens.

Attaque juteuse et sucrée, avec des saveurs de prunes rouges croquantes et de réglisse rouge issues du Grenache. La Syrah et le Mataro apportent structure, épices et profondeur, avec une finale persistante de cacao, de liqueur de cerise et des tanins fermes et gravillonneux.

Bold but Balanced

Deep ruby color, vibrant nose with dark berries, pepper, and violets. The palate is rich yet structured—plum and black cherry give way to spicy undertones. I had it with grilled duck breast and it was a perfect match. A wine that manages to be both powerful and elegant.
