DESCRIPTION

A unique blend of both Nebbiolo and Dolcetto, this red has both softness and volume in spades. Grown in Poderi Colla's family-run vineyard in the heart of Piedmont, the Bricco del Drago is subtle and classic, well-structured due to the coolness of this 2019 vintage. From the bouquet, we sense blueberry and plum alongside dried herbs and, unusually, baked earth. The dark fruits continue on the palate, with notes of redcurrant and wild cherry appearing alongside coffee and savoury notes.

Barbaresco and Barolo, which are two of the region's best red wines, are both made from Nebbiolo. Both are light in color, but offer very different experiences. On the palate, the Barolo offers a fuller, richer mouthfeel and is considered more serious. The Barbaresco, on the other hand, is slightly sharper and younger.
