Sino da Romaneira embodies the soul of Quinta da Romaneira, located in the heart of the Douro (DOC), around the Cima Corgo and Upper Douro sub-regions. Its name refers to the historic 18th-century bell that adorns the entrance to the main house.
The grapes come from various sectors of the estate, each selected for its unique micro-terroir. The blend is mainly Touriga Franca and Tinta Roriz, complemented by Touriga Nacional and Tinta Cão. After a 6-day fermentation in stainless steel tanks followed by a two-week malolactic fermentation, the wine is aged for 10 months in 225 L French oak barrels, 30% second use and 70% third use.
The nose reveals ripe red fruits alongside elegant floral notes and sweet spices, expressing the richness of the terroir. On the palate, a silky, balanced texture leads to a fresh, persistent finish.
