DESCRIPTION
2021 was a tough vintage for winemakers but the proof is in the pudding, or in this case, the wine. This blend of 85% marsanne grapes and 15% roussanne grapes is a testament to the whims and wonders of nature. With that in mind, this white wine is neither fined nor filtered prior to bottling. In other words, its imperfections and impurities are not discarded but embraced, as they are with roquefort cheese. These elements often reveal complex and powerful aromas. The bouquet of this Saint Joseph is wonderfully indulgent: Williams’ pear, white almond, vanilla, orange blossom and mirabelle. The palate is unctuous, rich and tender. This wine is a must have on the menu for foie gras, seafood, poultry, veal or any soft cheese.
