DESCRIPTION
Mount Horrocks Cordon Cut Riesling 2024 (375ml) is crafted using a unique process known as Cordon Cut, where the canes feeding the clusters are cut to interrupt the sap supply. The grapes remain hanging on the vine and concentrate naturally under the effect of the sun. This slow drying process increases sugar richness, aromatic intensity, and acid tension, giving rise to a sweet wine of remarkable purity. Fermented in stainless steel tanks. It features 11.5% alcohol, 8.3 g/L of total acidity, and 161.5 g/L of residual sugar.
On the nose, a fresh aromatics of lemon and lime, enhanced by touches of ginger, sweet spices, and stone fruits. On the palate, luscious without heaviness, driven by a brilliant acidity that perfectly balances the sweetness. The finish is long, clean, and crystalline. Pairs with a lemon tart or duck à l'orange.
