Established in 2005, Catalina Sounds set out to produce some of Marlborough’s finest white wines, in the very heart of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc country. Their flagship vineyard lies in the Waihopai Valley, in the north of the South Island, where the cool climate and long hours of sunshine deliver perfect aromatic ripeness while preserving natural, vibrant acidity.
Paying tribute to the Catalina, the legendary South Pacific seaplane, this wine charms with notes of lemongrass, citrus, passion fruit, and a subtle herbal touch. The palate is lively and saline, with a crystalline finish that lingers beautifully.

Located at the northeastern tip of the South Island, this dry, sunny region is home to over 500 wineries and produces nearly 75% of New Zealand’s wine.
