Casarena Appellation Agrelo Cabernet Sauvignon 2022 expresses the authenticity of the Agrelo terroir, in Luján de Cuyo, Mendoza, on mineral-rich clay soils. Aged for 12 months in French oak barrels, it develops an elegant structure and perfectly integrated tannins. The color is an intense ruby red, evoking vines rooted in mineral soils. Casarena, founded in 2008, showcases historic terroirs through viticulture in organic conversion.
The nose reveals aromas of blackberry and cherry, enriched by floral nuances of violet. The palate is harmonious and velvety, with a beautifully integrated tannic structure. A natural pairing with a grilled rib of beef or a platter of aged cheeses. Aging potential of 5 to 8 years.
Argentina
Mendoza is the largest wine-producing region in Argentina. Located on a high plateau on the edge of the Andes, the province is responsible for approximately 70% of the country's annual wine production. The French grape variety Malbec has its New World home in the vineyards of Mendoza, producing red wines of great concentration and intensity. While Malbec is undoubtedly the star of the region, there are also numerous plantings of Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Syrah, Torrontes and Sauvignon Blanc.
Anne Sarine - Local Nose
This Cabernet beautifully expresses the Agrelo terroir with a clean, serious, and breed-focused structure.
