DESCRIPTION

The 2020 Moonlight Race is crafted from a distinctive blend of Burn Cottage’s three vineyards: Lowburn, Sauvage, and Sappa (Bannockburn). Each vineyard contributes its unique character: lush fruit, elegant minerality, and refined aromatics combining to capture the vibrant essence of Central Otago.

On the nose, layers of black cherry and raspberry mingle with floral hints, subtle herbs, cocoa, and forest floor nuances. The palate is lively yet rich, with soft, textured tannins that carry the fruit forward into a long, savory finish.

Awarded 96 points by Wine Spectator, this New Zealand Pinot Noir is captivating now but can age gracefully for over 7 years. Perfect with a charcuterie and cheese platter, herb-roasted pork, or mushroom-based vegetarian dishes.
