The Story
Founded over a century ago in Lannepax, in the heart of Bas-Armagnac, Maison Baron Gaston Legrand embodies the noblest soul of Gascony. This 1928 vintage, hand-distilled and aged for nearly a century in oak barrels, bears witness to an unaltered expertise. Since 1998, the Lhéraud family has perpetuated this rare heritage, safeguarding a collection of historic vintages that make every bottle a true piece of history.
The Vinification
Distilled at a low proof following the Gascon tradition, the Vieil Armagnac Baron Gaston Legrand 1928 aged slowly in Gascon oak barrels, where time softened the structure and concentrated the aromas. This long maturation shaped a subtle balance between power and elegance, revealing the finesse of Bas-Armagnac. The oak, through its natural micro-oxygenation, enriched the texture and contributed woody and vanilla nuances that blend into a perfect harmony.
The Tasting
The Vieil Armagnac Baron Gaston Legrand 1928 is captivating with its enchanting bouquet of exotic wood, blond tobacco, and sweet spices. On the palate, the ample/full and velvety texture reveals a beautiful roundness and remarkable depth. Flavors evolve toward notes of dried fruits, honey, and mellowed oak, supported by a long, complex, and warm finish. A rare vintage, of timeless elegance, that embodies the quintessence of Bas-Armagnac.

France
