DESCRIPTION

Let's get biodynamic! This blend takes the dark, savoury spiciness of the Mataro and mixes it with the lively, berry-forward Grenache. It's like pairing night and day. A sweet, floral opening act introduces a bouquet of tar, orange peel and spice. Medium-bodied, this wine is soft and silky and perfectly balanced. Why not pair it with a lamb shank, duck or a mushroom risotto?

REGION

McLaren Vale

Australia

The McLaren Vale wine region, just south of Adelaide, is highly regarded in Australia and around the world. Shiraz tops the list of the region's award winning wines, making McLaren Vale a favourite place to grow this grape. Cabernet Sauvignon is another key variety, along with Grenache and Mourvèdre, which together with Shiraz make some of the most acclaimed GSM blends in the region. Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc lead the white grapes of McLaren Vale, with a wealth of other regional and international specialities such as Merlot, Zinfandel, Tempranillo, Sangiovese and Viognier also making their mark.
