The Story
Founded over a century ago in Lannepax, in the heart of Bas-Armagnac, Maison Baron Gaston Legrand embodies the noblest soul of Gascony. This 1927 vintage, hand-distilled and aged for nearly a century in oak barrels, bears witness to an unaltered expertise. Since 1998, the Lhéraud family has perpetuated this rare heritage, safeguarding a collection of historic vintages that make every bottle a true piece of history.
The Vinification
Distilled at a low proof in the purest Gascon tradition, the Vieil Armagnac Baron Gaston Legrand 1927 aged slowly in Gascon oak barrels, where richness and aromatic finesse mingle. This long rest in wood allowed the tannins to soften and the aromas to concentrate, giving birth to a balanced and complex eau-de-vie. The subtle exchanges between the wood and the alcohol shaped a noble profile, dominated by notes of dried fruits, soft leather, and blond tobacco, characteristic of great old vintages.
The Tasting
The Vieil Armagnac Baron Gaston Legrand 1927 expresses itself elegantly through an intense nose of toasted nuts, dried fruits, and mellowed oak, enhanced by fine touches of spices and tobacco. On the palate, the texture is velvety and deep, offering a perfect balance between power and sweetness. The flavors evolve toward nuances of noble rancio, honey, and candied fruits, supported by a long, warm, and persistent finish. An exceptional eau-de-vie, a reflection of a great terroir and time magnified.

France
